In music, a libretto is the text that accompanies an extended work like an opera or ballet.

Literally translated from italian, it means “little book.” In Central Kitsap, it’s a little alternative rock three-piece picked best local band by the Central Kitsap Reporter last summer.

The trio releases it’s first CD “Figurehead” this week in Kitsap. It’s a self-described “optional concept album” that will hold structure for those who’ve read “1984,” “Fahrenheit 451” or “Brave New World.”

It’s available now, $10 at the Washington Academy of Music, the Silverdale music school located under the old Frets and Strings sign off Silverdale Way. Tracks are also available on iTunes.
