Noted authors featured at KRL Foundation event | Kitsap Week

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND — Seven of the Seattle area’s most popular authors will visit Kitsap County Sept. 14 for a benefit for the Kitsap Regional Library Foundation.

The event begins at 7 p.m., at the Bainbridge Performing Arts Center, 200 Madison Ave. N.

The authors:
— Erik Larson, whose non-fiction works include “In the Garden of Beasts,” “The Devil in the White City” and “Isaac’s Storm.”
— Elizabeth George, author of “Believing the Lie” and the Inspector Lynley series of mysteries set in England.
— Garth Stein, author of ”The Art of Racing in the Rain.”
— Jim Lynch, author of “Truth Like the Sun,” “Border Songs” and “The Highest Tide.”
— Carol Cassella author of “Healer” and “Oxygen.”
— Kevin O’Brien, author of “Disturbed.”
— Jennie Shortridge author of “When She Flew.”

Each author will discuss how they came up with the ideas for what became the magic of their books. Audience and authors can chat during a complimentary wine and cheese reception.
