Poulsbo bookstore hosts Cosmo editor for debut novel

June 8, 2012 · Updated 10:12 AM

POULSBO — Young adult author and Cosmopolitan editor Anna Davies is coming to Poulsbo for a book signing of her debut novel, “Wrecked.”

Davies will read and sign copies of her book at Liberty Bay Books on Front Street in Poulsbo, Saturday at 4 p.m.

This is her first solo novel. She was a contributor to many other popular young adult series such as “Gossip Girl” and “The Vampire Diaries.” Davies is a senior editor at Cosmopolitan magazine and worked at Seventeen, Jane and Redbook.

While “Wrecked” takes place on a fictional island off the coast of South Carolina, Davies said the inspiration for the island came from the islands surrounding the Seattle area. Davies volunteered a number of times at Camp Goodtimes West  on Vashon Island, a camp for children with cancer, and has loved the area since.
