Poulsbo Americana Music Festival bringing back the twang

POULSBO— Twang returns makes a comeback next weekend with the 2009 Poulsbo Americana Music festival.

The free concert at Raab Park starts at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 12.

Featured will one an array of acoustic folk music, guitars, banjos, mandolins and fiddles accompanied by summertime activities like sack races and bubblegum blowing contests

Proceeds from the event will benefit Stand Up For Kids, according to a statement from the Greater Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce, sponsor of the event.

Raab Park is located at 18349 Caldart Ave. NE.

Featured musicians and bands include Chele’s Kitchen, Dewgrass and Vicci Martinez.

Stand Up For Kids serves homeless and at-risk youth in Kitsap.
