Fiddler on the Roof starts May 8

The Kingston High School drama club and music department present Fiddler on the Roof May 8, 9, 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. at the North Kitsap Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling (360) 394-1205.

Kitsap Cares About Kids benefit

The Kitsap County Commission on Children and Youth hosts the annual Kitsap Cares About Kids Challenge May 12 from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kitsap Conference Center at the Bremerton Harborside building, 100 Washington Ave., Bremerton. Former Seattle Seahawk Norm Johnson will speak at the event. A suggested donation of $25 will pay for the lunch, and all proceeds go to the Kitsap Community Foundation. West Sound Academy welcomes new head of school

West Sound Academy welcomes new Head of School Joe Kennedy, effective July 1. Kennedy has 23 years of experience as a teacher and administrator, and comes to WSA after eight years as head of the Riverstone International School in Boise, Idaho, and a headship at the Island School in Antigua. Current head of school and WSA founder Gordon Parke will remain involved with the school as a teacher and founding trustee emeritus.
