Mock car crash Friday

North Kitsap High School will hold a mock car crash Friday at 9:30 a.m. on the grounds of St. Olaf's Church on Caldart Avenue. The portion of Caldart between Hostmark Street and Mesford Street will be closed to traffic from 8:30-11 a.m. The goal of the mock crash is to help students be more aware of the effects of drinking and/or inattentive driving. The community is also welcome to attend.

Star Night at KMS

Kingston Middle School is starting a new tradition with "Star Night," beginning Monday. Parents, students and community members are welcome to visit the school from 6-8 p.m. to take part in the celebration of students' accomplishments. Hallway bulletin boards and classroom activities will highlight students' academic work, achievements, talents and year-long projects. In addition, the library will host the school's annual book fair.
