FISH FRIES: St. Cecilia Catholic School will host a Friday fish fry as a fundraising event during Lent: March 27. It will be from 5-8:30 p.m. at the church on the corner of High School Road and Madison Avenue North on Bainbridge. Adult plates are $10, children are $6.

HANSVILLE PRESCHOOL AUCTION: Hansville Preschool will host an auction from 3-6 p.m. March 28 at the Greater Hansville Community Center. Items range from Mariner’s tickets to gift certificates for massages. From 3-4 p.m. there will be face painting and salsa dance lessons will be from 4-4:45 p.m.

ROTARY DINNER AUCTION: The Poulsbo-North Kitsap Rotary Club’s annual dinner auction, with a Hollywood theme, is March 28 at the Poulsbo Sons of Norway. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. Info: (360) 710-1069 mwall@prepaidlegal.com.

CAR WASH: The Kingston High marching band will host a car wash form 9:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. March 28 at the Albertsons Gas Station in Kingston. Car wash is by donation. All proceeds will go to the band’s impending trip to California.

GEOGRAPHICALLY SPEAKING: Pastor Don Jukam of Poulsbo First Lutheran Church will present the first in a series of classes on how the geography and culture of the Holy Land helps us understand the original meaning of many passages of Scripture. ADULT SPANISH PROGRAM:A fourth level has been added to the popular step into Spanish classes taught by translator and bilingual educator Susan Wise in Poulsbo. BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION: Portraying the plant art classes are offered through Poulsbo Parks & Recreation from 7-9:30 p.m. on Mondays April 6 to May 18 at North Kitsap High School. Supplies, averaging $15-$50 depending on student choice, may be purchased through the instructor, Kathleen McKeehen, freelance illustrator and botanical artist. $127 for the seven-week course. GIRL POWER! WORKSHOP: The Miss Poulsbo/Miss Kitsap Scholarship Organization is putting on a fun workshop for girls in second through sixth grades. EARTH DAY EVENT: Vinland Lutheran Preschool will host an Earth Day event from 1-3 p.m. April 18 at the school, 2750 NW Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo. STEP INTO OUR STUDIOS: The Hansville Arts and Crafts Guild’s “Step into our Studios” tour will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 24 and 25. The tour includes 12 artists at five tour sites.
