Gordon Elementary to host International Night

The Passport Club, a Gordon Elementary program, will host an "International Night" for interested students and parents Feb. 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the school.

The event will feature food from around the world, a performance by an African drum band and a chance to take photos in front of a cutout of the leaning tower of Pisa.

Parent volunteers will be making passports/cookbooks containing recipes for the event's international cuisine and basic facts about the countries whence the food came.

Students will also work on an arts and crafts project for their pen pals in Argentina and Romania.
