GARAGE SALE: G.Do’s, a new non-profit 501(c)3 organization, is conducting a garage sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 and 24. If you have items that you would like to donate contact Carole at (360) 779-2454 or Cheryl at (360) 731-7807. G.Do’s takes old and unwanted items and rescues, recycles, and restores them into beautiful hand-crafted heirloom-type items. The sale will be located at 5th Avenue NE and Viewmont in Poulsbo.

BACKPACK SAFETY: Ryan Smart of Life Force Chiropractic is holding a free backpack safety clinic workshop to cover day-to-day stresses placed on kids’ spines, and to show proper techniques to putting on and wearing a backpack at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 27. CHURCH CONCERT: Vinland Lutheran Church will host David Harsh at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 31. Concerts by the award-winning singer are free.

GARAGE SALE: The Driftwood Key Garage Sale Extravaganza will be held Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 37608 Vista Key Drive in Hansville. There will be food, entertainment and something for everyone of all ages.

STITCH IN TIME: Liberty Shores Assisted Living is hosting a national Stitch in Public Day to coincide with the Embroiderer’s Guild of America’s event Sept. 3. HOME TOUR: An historic home tour in Port Gamble will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 by Kitsap Arts and Crafts to raise money for art scholarships. The cost is $12, which covers admission to six private homes and the Port Gamble museum. Tickets are available next to the General Store on the day of the event. FEEDING NORTH KITSAP: A community discussion will be held Sept. 18 from 7–9 p.m. at Stillwaters. Explore current efforts and future opportunities for developing the local food economy of North Kitsap. Cost: $5 suggested donation.

MAKE HISTORY: The committee of the new Poulsbo history book is searching for local residents over the age of 80 who were born in Poulsbo and still reside here.
