Dine-out event supports North Kitsap Schools Foundation

POULSBO — On Sept. 11, eating out at a local restaurant can help raise money for students in the North Kitsap School District.

North-end restaurants will participate in the second Dine Out for NK Schools fundraiser. A portion of proceeds from the day’s earnings at select businesses will go to the North Kitsap Schools Foundation.

Participating restaurants are: Agate Pass Café, Bella Luna Pizzeria, The Grub Hut, The Loft, Main Street Ale House, MorMor Bistro, Pizza Factory in Kingston, Port Gamble General Store and Café, Stella’s Pizza and Pasta, Sully’s Bistro and Bar and That’s-a-Some Italian Ristorante.

“The foundation is grateful to these generous restaurants for participating in Dine Out for NK Schools,” Foundation President Terri Gleich said. “Last year’s event was a big success for the restaurants and for our students.”

The foundation supports students and programs by providing addition funding to the district. In the past, the foundation has provided $32,000 in grants to schools in the district, and supported start-up programs and musical instrument repair.
