August 17, 2013 · Updated 2:53 PM

POULSBO — Since the inception of North Kitsap Fishline Food Bank’s Food for Thought weekend meal program in 2009, the program has provided more than 600 children of all ages with more than 150,000 meals in our community. The Food for Thought program reaches children in all Poulsbo and Suquamish schools including Chief Kitsap Academy in Suquamish.

Fishline invites community support of this program, with many different opportunities to give.

Donors can visit Fishline’s website, www.nkfishline.org, to use the virtual food drive to purchase items needed for the packs through a targeted monetary donation.

A list of Food for Thought components is also on the website, and donations of these specific items are welcome.
