POULSBO — Michael Lord Nelson of Poulsbo passed away on April 25.

He was 63.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1949 to Rolland D. and Barbara Lord Nelson in Daytona Beach, Fla. He graduated from Clover Park High School in Lakewood, Wash. He married Sandi D. Hawk on May 31, 1987 in Seattle.

Mike worked in real estate with his wife Sandi, and opened Mike and Sandi Nelson Real Estate of Poulsbo. Mike excelled in real estate, earning Top Producer Awards from 2002-12, ranked in the top 1 percent in Closed Sales Nationally, was voted Best of North Kitsap 2012, and was voted “Best in Client Satisfaction” three times in Seattle magazine.

Mike was a member of the Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce and the Poulsbo Yacht Club. He enjoyed boating, music, tennis, cooking and was an avid Washington State Cougar fan.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Rolland. His memory will live on with his wife, Sandi; daughters, Cortney, McKenzie and Christine; brothers, Rolland Jr., Patrick, Britt and Brant; and mother, Barbara.
