January 15, 2013 · 10:24 AM

BREMERTON — Olympic College hosts a public forum on the decriminalization of marijuana Jan. 24, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the BSC N/S Conference Room.

The forum is open to all students and faculty.

Initiative 502, approved by 55.7 percent of Washington voters on Nov. 6, allows individuals 21 and older to possess up to an ounce of marijuana. The initiative also allows state-licensed businesses to manufacture and sell it, and for the state to tax marijuana sales.

A panel of speakers will discuss issues related to the legalization of marijuana at the OC forum. There will be an open Q&A for the audience. For more information, call (360) 475-7290 or 475-7461.
