POULSBO — “A Dog on a Bender,” a story by local writer Sallie Wagner Brown, is included in “Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can’t Believe My Dog Did That!” (Chicken Soup for the Soul Publishing).

Brown lives on Hood Canal with her husband and three dogs. Twenty-seven years teaching high school, five grown children  and all the dogs in her life have provided topics for her stories, two of which were published in previous “Chicken Soup for the Soul” anthologies.

“Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can’t Believe My Dog Did That!” celebrates the antics of the authors’ canine companions, and recount inspiring tales of the connection between owner and pet.

The “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book series (www.chickensoup.com) is distributed through Simon & Schuster, Inc. and since 1993 has sold more than 100 million copies in the United States and Canada alone.
