POULSBO — A celebration of Ernest “Ernie” K. Knudson’s life will be held on Saturday, 1-5 p.m., at the Sons of Norway in downtown Poulsbo.

He died July 16 at his home in Poulsbo. He was 81.

His civic career included service as a Poulsbo City Council member, Chamber of Commerce president and Sons of Norway lodge manager. The family said the celebration of life is a casual affair.

“We invite anyone who knew Ernie to come and share stories and have a toast to one of Poulsbo’s longtime and colorful residents,” they wrote. “There will be a no-host bar and a potluck (please bring a salad or dessert).”

Private burial is scheduled for Sunday morning.
