Carmen Silva Wilson | Passages

BAINBRIDGE — Carmen Silva Wilson died July 23 at The Hospice of Kitsap County Care Center in Bremerton. She was 67.

Born Feb. 2, 1945 in Catano, Puerto Rico. Lived on Bainbridge Island for 28 years.

She made an impact on all who knew her through her immense capacity for loving and nurturing. Her deepest passion was her children and grandchildren. She had a gift for creating special memories through preparing and serving cultural foods. Laughter around the family table was a constant.

She found joy in song. Whether singing to her kids and grandkids or as part of an ensemble in the Bainbridge Chorale, music created a beautiful soundtrack for her life.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Thomas Wilson of Poulsbo; sister, Germaine Berger of Hamburg, Germany; children, Ryan Wilson of Poulsbo, Shane Wilson of Bremerton, and Tara Wilson of Kingston; daughter-in-law, Kristina Wilson of Poulsbo; grandchildren, Mason and Kaleb Wilson of Poulsbo, and Rhiannon Wilson of Bremerton; and her beloved companion, Tenchi.

Preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Carmenlita Silva.

Service will be private. Memorial contributions preferred to the Lupus Foundation of America or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online guest book at
