POULSBO — There will be a celebration of life and service for Garvin Tootle, former operations manager of North Kitsap Fishline, on Aug. 25, 10 a.m., at Kvelstad Pavilion in Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park.
Aug. 25 would have been Tootle’s 70th birthday.
“All are invited to come honor Garvin, who gave so much to families in need in our community,” according to an email from Fishline.
Tootle died June 26 at a Bremerton respite care facility. He fought cancer for several years.
He was a retired Marine Corps officer, and was operations manager of Fishline during a period of growth in which the number of clients and amount of food distributed doubled.
