Howard D. Springer was born at King County Hospital in Seattle on Nov. 27, 1922. He passed away at home on July 18, 2012. He was 89.

Howard was preceded in death by his son, James Springer, on Oct. 18, 2008.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Springer, of Poulsbo; children, Roy Springer (Kathy) of Hermiston, Ore., Jerry Springer (Rosemary) of Poulsbo, Teresa Brown (Steve) of Santa Rosa, Calif., Bill Springer of Poulsbo, and Don (Linda) Springer of Bainbridge Island; grandchildren, Steve Springer (Jeanette) of Oak Harbor, Loren (Clare) Springer of Port Orchard, Tim (Jennifer) Springer of Seabeck, Stephanie Springer of Poulsbo, Richard (Davida) Brown of Gervais, Ore., Matthew (Rebecca) Brown of Ohio, Jon Brown of Leander, Texas, Anthony Brown of Santa Rosa, Calif., Alexis Springer of Seattle, Donny Springer (Marisa) of Gresham, Ore., and Jennifer (Jeff) Beesler of Silverdale. Howard has 12 great-grandchildren.
