Dougherty wins art scholarship at WWU

BELLINGHAM — Western Washington University student Crista Marie Dougherty, daughter of Dennis and Karen Dougherty of Poulsbo, received a $1,027 J. Ruth Kelsey Art Merit Award for the 2012-13 academic year.

The award is intended for senior art students at Western. The scholarship can be used for necessary expenses related to her art studies.

Dougherty graduated from North Kitsap High School in 2008. She has a 3.84 GPA and is majoring in studio art.
