Gateway names Costa director of communications

POULSBO — Mark W. Costa has been named director of communications and development for Gateway Christian Schools.

Costa will oversee all elements of internal and external marketing, communications, community relations and strategic development for the schools.

“With the addition of our new Bremerton-based Crosspoint campus, coupled with our growing organization, Mark’s unique skill set will afford the Gateway organization the opportunity to take a forward step in developing and implementing a strategic communications, marketing and development plan,” said Tom Duchemin, Gateway Fellow-ship Church’s lead pastor.

Costa was formerly the president and chief executive officer of the North Mason Chamber of Commerce. He’s held senior executive management positions for ClubCorp of America, Royal Caribbean International/Celebrity Cruises and American Classic Voyages.

Costa resides on Bainbridge Island with his wife of 25 years, Teresa. They have one middle school-age son, Parker, and are active members of Gateway Fellowship.

Gateway Christian Schools is a regional Christian school with a preschool-sixth grade campus in Poulsbo and a K-12 campus in Bremerton.
