Reasons is a senior policy adviser at Treasury Dept.

POULSBO — Poulsbo native Trent Reasons is now a senior policy adviser in the U.S. Treasury Department in Washington, D.C.

Reasons, 37, was sworn in on May 9. His position is a four-year, non-partisan position.  Reasons is a fourth generation Kitsap County resident and attended Bremerton and North Kitsap schools.  He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1993 and from the University of Washington in 1997 in economics. He moved immediately to New York City, where he worked as an investment banker for 15 years.

His mother is Arna Souza of Bremerton and his father is Dr. Charles Reasons of Ellensburg. His grandfather, Arnold S. Wang, served in the Washington state House of Representatives from 1953 to 1967.

Reasons is married and has four young children. The family resides in Greenwich, Conn.
