Duane D. Freiboth of Poulsbo died May 22. He was 73.
Born June 19, 1938 in Terry, Mont., to Hank and Mae (Abrahamson) Freiboth. Graduated from North Kitsap High School. Married JoAnn Seppala in Poulsbo on Feb. 22, 1957. Worked as a grocery warehouseman for 30 years. Member of Kitsap County Sheriff’s Posse, Kitsap County Fair, Kitsap County 4-H horse program. Enjoyed woodcrafting, keyboard piano, collecting Roy Rogers memorabilia. Coached women’s softball for many years. In his earlier years was the drummer for the local band “The Versatiles.”
Preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn, his parents, and brothers, Virgil and Delmer.
Survived by his daughters, Cindy McKay (Scott) of Kingston and Sandy Stivers (Dan) of Twisp; brother, Marlyn Freiboth (Rose) of Poulsbo; sisters, Lila Brazeau of Yakima, Aggie Longmate (Elmer) of Hansville and Darlene Goninan (Robert) of Suquamish; and grandchildren, the love of his life, Justin, Chelsea and Katie.
Memorial service May 26, 11 a.m. Bible Baptist Church in Lemolo. Inurnment will be private at Cherry Grove Memorial Park, Poulsbo.
