Marion T. Blandy died peacefully May 19 on Bainbridge Island. She was 84.
Born July 27, 1927 in Spokane to Daniel and Joan Helen (Sinclair) Mangan, the third of six children. Attended Holy Names Academy in Spokane, lived in Spokane, Longview, the Seattle area, Helena, Mont., Portland, and Poulsbo.
Worked for State Nursery in Helena, the State of Montana and State of Oregon, Forest City Trading Group in Portland, among other secretary/receptionist jobs. Loved gardening, won numerous ribbons for her beautiful roses. Enjoyed playing cards, dancing and singing. Survived by her sisters, Rosemary (Lyle) Miller and Patricia Herberholz; brother, John (Jean) Mangan of Spokane; children, David Gregory of Spokane, Daniel (Devin) Norman of Wenatchee, Michael Veasey of LaFayette, Tenn., Marilou (Steve Stone) Duncan of Poulsbo, Daryl (Michelle) Blandy of Washougal.
Also survived by grandchildren, Kieren and Terran Gregory; Chad, Andy, Joshua and Ryan Norman; April, Alex and Aubree Ball; Lauren and Areielle Blandy; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard and Daniel Mangan; son, Doug Blandy; and granddaughters, Kirsha Gregory and Chelsea Ball.
Memorial service June 4, 1 p.m., at Fairmont Memorial Chapel in Spokane. Donations preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011. Online memorial at www.poulsbomortuary.com.
