April 20, 2012 · 4:21 PM

POULSBO — Youth Pastors Kitsap will host “United We Stand,” an annual conference, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Gateway Fellowship.

Organizers say the conference is “built and focused on the needs of students in this generation.”

The event will feature two general sessions which will include music and speakers. The afternoon will feature a choice of seminars that students can attend on a variety of topics surrounding the main theme of “unity in the community.”

Highlighting the messages, two hours of the afternoon program will consist of students performing service projects in the community near Gateway Fellowship, including North Kitsap High School, Hostmark Apartments and a mobile home park.

The event will end with a concert by local band The Exchange, and then the closing session.

YPK is a Christ-centered movement of multiple youth ministries from churches all over the Kitsap Peninsula.
