KINGSTON — William P. Grether Jr. died at his home in Kingston on April 5. He was 67.

Born to William and Francis (Comen) Grether  on Feb. 28, 1945 in Newport News, VA. Attended WSU and Central Washing-ton Univ-ersity, graduated with a bachelor’s in education. Married Dorothy Krauel on Aug. 19, 1972 in Seattle.

A school teacher and music director for schools in Joyce, Wash., Dutch Harbor, Alaska and Soap Lake, Wash. Belonged to Hansville Community Church. Enjoyed music, dogs, people, learning and motorcycles.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy; sister, Glenda Voss; many family and friends. Memorial service April 28, 2 p.m., at Hansville Community Church, 7543 Twin Spits Road, Hansville.  Donations preferred to Music Ministry at Hansville Community Church, diabetes research, or local Humane Society. Visit online memorial at www.poulsbomortuary.com.
