POULSBO — Loren L. Youderian was born June 8, 1918 in Bloomingdale Township, Mich. Died March 26 in Bremer-ton with family members by his side. Went to be with Christ and the love of his life, Rosaleen.

Only son of Edward and Margaret Youderian. Grew up with sisters Gladys, Lois and Alberta on a lakefront farm. As a boy, worked in the harvest on local farms.  During the Depression, worked at an oil refinery in Bloomingdale.

Joined the Army Air Corps, stationed in England. There he met his future wife, Rosaleen. They married there in July 1943 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven.

Member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.  In 1959, moved the family to Poulsbo and worked at PSNS, Keyport, and Bangor. Enjoyed working on his small farm near Scandia.

A past member of the Holy Name Society at St Olaf’s Parish. Enjoyed traveling and farming in retirement.

Survived by his children, Robert, Loren (Judy), Patricia, and Brian (Linda); eight grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by Rosaleen, his wife of 56 years; daughter Carole and her two sons; parents, Edward and Margaret, sisters, Alberta and Lois.

Family thanks Pat from Lutheran Community Services, dear friends from Poulsbo, St. Olaf’s Eucharistic Ministers to the Homebound, St. Olaf’s Knights of Columbus, state Department of Services for the Blind, Dr. Hadley and nurse Mary.

Visitation March 30, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Stone Chapel, Poulsbo Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be celebrated March 31, 10 a.m. at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 18943 Caldart Ave., Poulsbo.  Graveside service follows at noon at Mountain View Cemetery, Silverdale.
