SILVERDALE — Nancy Elizabeth Hunter of Silverdale passed away on Dec. 22, 2011 in Seattle. She was 62.
She was born May 31, 1949, in Riverside, Ala., to John and Ruth Buckner of Poulsbo. She attended school in Pell City, Ala., and graduated from Hardee High School, Wauchula, Fla., in 1966.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling on cruise ships, shopping, cooking for her family, and country music. She was very active and loved to walk and ride bikes with her husband.
She married Charles A. Hunter on Oct. 4, 1969 on Bainbridge Island.
She is survived by her husband; her son, Jonathan (Lisa) Hunter of Seattle; granddaughter, Alyssa Hunter of Bremerton; brothers, J. Larry (Norma) Buckner of Ragland, Ala., Gary (Darlene) Buckner of Poulsbo, Stephen (Lauren) Buckner of Kingston, Kevin (Laurie) Buckner of Gig Harbor; sisters, Patricia Burke of Bremerton, Cathy (Franco) Solda’ of Chiampo, Italy, and Susan Ray of Poulsbo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held on Dec. 28, 2011 at Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, Silverdale.
