Trent England, director of constitutional studies at the Evergreen Freedom Foundation, will be the guest speaker at the North Kitsap Republican Women's meeting April 19, 11:30 a.m., at the Poulsbo Fire Station on Liberty Avenue and Highway 305 in Poulsbo.

England is former director of the foundation's Citizen Action Network and Citizenship & Governance Center. He earlier served as a legal policy analyst and visiting fellow at The Heritage Foundation, where he was a contributor to "The Heritage Guide to the Constitution." He has also been a candidate for state representative, the vice president of a small issues lobbying organization, and an opposition researcher at a national campaign committee.

England earned a law degree from The George Mason University School of Law and a bachelor of arts in government from Claremont McKenna College.
