Barbara M. Gausta, born in Walla Walla on Sept. 10, 1920, died of Alzheimer’s at Martha & Mary on Dec. 4, 2010. She resided at Montclair Park Assisted Living/Haven Crest.

The family thanks all the dedicated caregivers.

Barb married Chet Gausta in Poulsbo on Nov. 21, 1970. She was a member of Poulsbo First Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Chet; daughter, Deborah Freeman (Pat) of Oregon; son, Jerry Lind (Michelle) of Spokane; son, Kevin Lind of Oregon; sister, Teresa of Walla Walla; granddaughters, Nicole and Brianna; two great-grandsons and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Memorial service: Jan. 22, 2011, 1 p.m., Poulsbo First Lutheran. Donations may be made to Martha & Mary or NK Fishline.
