First-time home buyers class offered

There will be a free, first-time home buyer education class at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at MontClair Park Assisted Living Center at 1250 NE Lincoln Road in Poulsbo.

This five-hour class is required for first-time home buyers to take advantage of state-sponsored assistance programs. The class also covers the home-buying process, lending and credit scores, budgeting, the pros and cons of home ownership, home inspections, escrow and title insurance, agency law, the Federal $8,000 tax credit and much more.

You will receive a free state certificate valid for two years.
