Sweet Life Cakery announces the opening of its new retail store

KINGSTON — Sweet Life Cakery is expanding its business by opening a retail storefront for dine in and pick-up in Kingston.

The new storefront location will have seating for patrons and offer a variety of beverages including brewed coffee and tea. There will also be a small semi-private seating area with a wedding cake gallery.

Along with ready-to-go desserts, customers will be able to place orders for custom decorated cakes for any special occasion.

The storefront, known to Kingston residents as the Green Cottage, is located at 11201 NE State Highway 104 and is part of Cleo’s Landing.

Sweet Life will be located directly adjacent to d’Vine Wines and d’Lectables, Nancy’s Green Garden, and Diva de Beau.

Now in its fourth year of providing made-to-order hand-crafted pastries, Sweet Life will add a variety of gluten, grain, dairy, and refined sugar free options to its menu.

“We are dedicated to providing quality baked goods that are beautiful, delicious and nourishing. You can feel good and not guilty about treating yourself,“ said Methia Gordon, owner of Sweet Life Cakery. “We don’t take shortcuts to deliciousness. We use pure ingredients and bake from scratch.” Gordon added, “Our focus has always been on showcasing the natural flavor of the ingredients first, not masking it with large amounts of sugar. Our motto is: Life … a little sweeter.”

Sweet Life Cakery Storefront is expected to open its doors during the week of Aug. 18. An opening celebration will be announced.

Storefront summer hours will be Sunday and Monday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., closed Tuesday, and open Wednesday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
