CREDIT UNION NAMES NEW SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT
Kitsap Credit Union named George Hall as the new senior vice president/chief lending officer.
Hall began his lending career in 1976 at Pacific First Federal in Tacoma working in loan servicing. After 32 years in the lending industry, Hall joins Kitsap Credit Union from Yakima Valley Credit Union where he served as the chief lending officer.
Hall’s primary goal at the credit union is to serve members, volunteers, the community and co-workers through sound business practices and upholding high ethical standards. His responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing the credit union’s 75 year tradition of providing safe, sound and secure lending programs and services. Hall will place emphasis on enhancing member loyalty, reviewing loan products and services, and ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations.
PEOPLES BANK INVESTS $35,000 BACK INTO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Peoples Bank is one of the area’s local businesses that takes great interest in our community’s development and invests in its growth.
Donations were made by Peoples Bank in support of local industry, education, the arts, environment, and other charitable causes.
In the first quarter of 2008, the bank contributed a total of $35,000 to support local organizations and will continue to invest in our community throughout the rest of the year.
One of the organizations Peoples Bank supported in Kitsap County was the Lee Belas International Scholarship Foundation, with a donation of $500. The Lee Belas International Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization established in memory of Sgt. Lee A. Belas, killed in action in Iraq Feb. 27, 1991, at the age of 22. The foundation was formed in 1991 following Lee’s death in the Gulf War.
The volunteer seven-member board of directors meets twice yearly to administer the business of the foundation and to award scholarships to district 5020 outbound exchange students.
EDWARD JONES FINANCIAL ADVISOR SPONSORS COFFEE CLUB
Clint Boxman, a local Edward Jones financial advisor, will host a coffee club at 8 a.m. every third Wednesday at Coastal Cafe in Kingston. The coffee club is an informal gathering for roundtable discussions on the economy.
“The coffee club offers us an opportunity to learn from one another and exchange ideas on a variety of issues,” Boxman said. “I look forward to sharing my experience on how individuals can help make their money grow and build wealth over time, as well as have fun and get to know some of my neighbors better.”
