POULSBO — Leadership Kitsap, now in its 20th year, offers participants access to community leaders, awareness and understanding of critical issues, and an in-depth look at the systems that govern, serve and develop Kitsap County.

Leadership Kitsap consists of nine full-day sessions, held on the second Friday of each month from September through June. Class members attend sessions that cover a diverse range of community-related topics, including:
— Government (county and state).
— Leadership Development.
— Community Economics.
— Environment and Planning.
— Healthy Community.
— Arts and Recreation.
Leadership Kitsap has graduated more than 420 individuals who have each invested more than 205 hours in volunteer community service. Leadership Kitsap has resulted in the completion of 73 community service projects.
