Ground for Change receives award for ‘giving back’

SUQUAMISH — Grounds for Change has received the Community Award from Seattle Business magazine in the publication’s annual Washington Family Business Awards.

Grounds for Change (www.groundsforchange.com) received the award for “Displaying a steadfast commitment to giving back” to the community. Grounds for Change is a certified organic coffee roaster specializing in 100 percent fair-trade coffee.

Bainbridge Island’s Parfitt Way Management Corp., which operates Harbour Public House, Harbour Marina and Pegasus Coffee House on Bainbridge Island, received the Silver Award for Small Family Companies.
