Deadline April 27 to apply for CU’s education grants

POULSBO — Deadline is April 27 to apply for a Peninsula Education Grant from Peninsula Credit Union.

Thirteen grants were given out in 2011, ranging from special-needs programs to solar-powered car projects. In all, $6,000 was made available to local educators.

Grants are available to educators in all primary or secondary classes in public and accredited private schools. Grant amounts are awarded between $300 and $500 for implementation of new programs, continuation of existing programs, or for equipment, materials or supplies.

Application forms are available online at www.pcfcu.org and in all Peninsula Credit Union branches. Application deadline is April 27. Call (800) 426-1601.
