POULSBO -- Sound Works Job Center is providing free assistance preparing and applying for Navy Civil Service jobs.

The local Navy shipyards will hold a career fair for apprentice and helper positions Jan. 27 and 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds. They will accept resumes for these positions on the USAJOBS.gov website from Jan. 25 to Feb. 24.

Sound Works Job Center is offering free assistance preparing and writing the required Civil Service resume. Interview training is also offered. Candidates are required to have a current college transcript or have taken the Accuplacer, Compass or Asset tests within the past two years to be accepted for these positions.
