POULSBO — Rogers Family Insurance, an independent insurance agency serving residents of the North Kitsap peninsula, has teamed with Seattle-based PEMCO Insurance, a 62-year-old company known for its top-rated customer service.

Rogers Family Insurance, 19589 Front St. NE in Poulsbo, became an independent agency last year. It is owned by Artie and Joyce Rogers.

Before opening their agency, Joyce worked in insurance and finance for more than 25 years and Artie worked in construction. He now uses that expertise to help commercial insurance clients.

“We’re all about building relationships, and PEMCO is too,” Artie said. “PEMCO is local, Northwest, and a customer-owned mutual company. We wanted to give clients a truly local choice.”

Rogers Family Insurance serves clients from a 1901 waterfront farmhouse. “It feels much more like a home than an office,”  Joyce said. “There’s always coffee and treats in the kitchen.”

Rogers Family Insurance is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and evenings and  weekends  by appointment. Call 930-3555 or visit www.RogersFamilyInsurance.com.
